Machining centre C 650

As the youngest member of the HERMLE Performance Line, the C 650 sets new standards in terms of the traverse path and load.

In addition, the machining centre integrates the complete range of features which have already proven themselves in the smaller sister models C 250 and C 400. The top speed of the linear rapid traverses is 35 m/min. From machine construction to precision mechanics, from medical engineering to energy production, from the aerospace and automotive industry to tool and mould construction and the general subcontractor industry: The C 650 is ideal for a wide range of milling operations. As the machining centre was launched in 2017, no sample applications are yet available

From the comprehensive fluid technology to the optimised chip management system and a range of cooling lubricant units to the hinged belt conveyor: The new top model of the Performance-Line has a number of highlights to offer, e.g. the right chip disposal equipment for removing all types of chip from the working area. The C 650 machining centre for 5-axis / 5-sided machining can be transported without being dismantled and set up without a foundation.

Energy efficiency in manufacturing and operation

HERMLE manufactures many components using lightweight construction and mineral casting technology. The high degree of own production, local suppliers and components with high efficiency factors also promote energy efficiency. Energy recuperation, high-quality servo drives and the legendary long service lives are all proof of the same high standards during actual operation.

HERMLE machining centre C 650 completely individual.

HERMLE offers you a wide range of options so that you can adapt the equipment of your HERMLE machining centre to your individual requirements.

It goes without saying that you will receive perfectly integrated systems and additions in which all elements are dovetailed, without friction or interface losses. Here are a few highlights:

Automation

Flexible machine state monitoring

The HIMS control tool (‘HERMLE Information Management System’) allows for flexible machine state monitoring even for the C 650, including a Live Messenger amongst other features.

The HS flex heavy handling system is an automation solution for economical entry into automation and can be adapted to the front of the C 650 machining center to save space.

S&S Werkzeugbau GmbH
Spritzgusstechnik
Tool and mold making

S&S Werkzeugbau manufactures complete injection moulds entirely in-house – from design through to the initial moulding. However, the mould makers make an exception in the case of a reliable cooling solution for narrow cross-sections: Hermle Maschinenbau uses metal-powder application technology (MPA) to integrate copper into mould cores, thereby optimising heat outflow in the injection moulding process.

Update only with automation

Cafmeyer
Tool & mold making

Cafmeyer manufactures press moulds. The more complex the part, the more parts needed for the mould. In the past, the Belgian mould maker was sometimes pushed to the limits of its capabilities – both in terms of dimension and capacity. The company therefore decided to invest in a Hermle C 650 U 5-axis machining centre with HS flex heavy automation.

Huarui Precision Cutting Tools' mission is to be one of the best suppliers of cutting tools in China. It has therefore been looking for the best machines for production – and has finally invested in thirteen 5-axis machining centres from Hermle in 2022. Hermle China not only convinced with the hardware.
